Central Hall

Central Hall

d
Central Hall performs a major role in the public life of Wymondham . It's where the Wymondham Players put on their plays, the Young Farmers stage their Pantomime and the Bridge Clubs play. Antiques Fairs and the Rotary Art Exhibition are held there, as are wedding receptions, many adult education classes and the meetings of many local societies, etc. It is a non-profit making Charity (No. 292505), dedicated to serving the public in Wymondham.

It was built in 1965, at a cost of £25,000. £15,000 of the total (a lot of money at that time) was raised by the people of Wymondham, and the rest was received as a grant from the Government. The Management Committee, consisting mainly of representatives of local organisations using the Hall, was formed at that time, and has continued its work up to the present day. The Hall has been intensively used from the outset, and continues to be at the present time.

Central Hall seats 299 people. Booking Secretary 07717 824171
