Wymondham Music Fesitval
From May through to July and beyond, there’s a whole summer
of music in the lively market town of Wymondham.
This
year, there are over 70 events listed in the full summer programme.
The
highlight is the Festival Fortnight - the core of our
festival.
For 2008 this runs from Saturday 21 June to Sunday
6 July. During these two weeks there is a huge range of music
on offer - the Midsummer Jazz Picnic, daytime and evening concerts,
gigs, workshops and lots more for all the family in a varied
mix of folk, pop, classical, crossover, world and jazz.
Many events
are FREE. For ticketed events the prices are as low as possible with
some great discount schemes this year, especially for children. More
details soon!
About the Festival
Music for everyone...
Our annual music festival, founded in 1996, takes place in the
lively market town of Wymondham, Norfolk, famous for its glorious
Benedictine Abbey Church, distinctive Market Cross and many
other visitor attractions.
Throughout the summer...
There is a huge range of music on offer - evening
concerts, daytime recitals, gigs, workshops, the Midsummer Jazz Picnic down
by the river Tiffey, Town Busking Day and lots of other live music in
the Market Place and at venues around the town.
Supporting local musicians...
Most of our artists live and work in Norfolk. We provide top
quality performances from professional musicians, show-case local
talent and promote our many excellent music societies.
