Air Training Corps.
The 1986 (Wymondham) Squadron, Air Training Corps meets every Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm at the Cadet Centre, Pople Street, Wymondham.
The unit is open to boys and girls from the age of 13. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to come along on a Wednesday or Thursday night for an introductory chat and a tour of the building. Uniform is issued free of charge. There is a termly subscription which is currently £10 per term.
1986 (Wymondham) Sqn came out on top, for the third year in succession, in Norfolk and Suffolk Wing's annual Field Weekend. The competition was held this year at Wretham Camp on the Stanford Training Area from 14th-16 May and involved cadets taking part in nine separate competitions over two days. Wymondham was placed first in the River Crossing competition and also won the Orienteering. Favourable placings in the other disciplines led to them being crowned overall winners twenty three points ahead of their nearest rivals.
